Built for the owner who is also the driver

Written from primary sources and checked against them. As of 2026-09-06. How that is done.

Short answer

How does Bloom handle cannabis delivery?

Bloom plans the route from the shop's own coordinates, carries the manifest, checks identity at the door and records only what the state permits a retailer to retain, and tracks the cash the driver is holding against the ceiling the state allows. Where a jurisdiction requires two people in the vehicle, it says so before the route starts.

Delivery is where the solo operator assumption gets tested

One person opens, sells, packs, drives and comes back. That works until a state requires a second person in the vehicle, at which point solo operation is not awkward, it is unlawful. So every rule pack records what specifically blocks one person operating in that state, with the citation, and the software says it up front instead of letting someone discover it mid route.

What is recorded at the door, and what is not

The check establishes age and produces an outcome. What is kept beyond that is a per state question with a real answer: some states restrict a retailer from recording anything from the identification at all. Bloom stores the outcome and the derived age and, where the rule requires it, nothing else. That is enforced by the rule rather than left to a configuration screen.

Questions people ask next

How are routes built?
From the facility's own coordinates outward, using geodesic distance and a priority weighted tour rather than the order the orders arrived in. Auto dispatch runs the same function on a schedule.
What does the driver record at the door?
The outcome of the identity check and the age it established. In Oregon it records nothing else, because a retailer may not retain what is on the identification, and that restriction is a rule in the corpus rather than a setting someone chose.
Does it know when two people are required in the vehicle?
Yes, and it says so before the route starts rather than on the road. Where a state requires a second person, that is a rule with a citation, and where a state expressly does not, that is recorded too.
How is the cash the driver is carrying handled?
Tracked against the ceiling the state allows, so a driver knows before setting off whether the manifest exceeds it.
Can a delivery be refused at the door?
Yes, and the refusal is recorded with its reason, which is what makes the returned product reconcilable when the driver gets back.
