New Jersey sets no statewide retail hours. A municipality may enact an ordinance governing the location, manner and times of operation of a cannabis business, so a store's selling window is whatever its host municipality adopted and must be configured per location before selling. The same authority expressly does NOT reach the times of operation of a cannabis delivery service or a cannabis distributor, and a municipality may not restrict transportation of cannabis items through or within it.

Require Approval

No rule found in N.J.A.C. 17:30 either permitting or prohibiting a cultivator, manufacturer or wholesaler paying a retailer for in-store advertising or placement. New Jersey has no alcohol-style tied-house prohibition in the cannabis chapter; the nearest authority is the ownership and financial interest regime and the management services and financial source agreement rules. Bloom does not sell such placements in New Jersey until counsel or the NJ-CRC confirms in writing.
